It was a quick start for the Stamps as three straight first downs got them into the redzone on their first possession before Rene Paredes knocked threw the first points of the night from 25 yards out to give the Stamps a 3-0 lead.

Calgary’s defence showed up early, forcing a two and out on the first possession with Jonathan Moxey very close to a pick-six on the very first play.

Calgary would put one through the uprights again on their second drive. Carey rushed for 23 yards on the drive to get them into field-goal range making the score 6-0.

Winnipeg made sure the lead didn’t last long.

They drove the field with Zach Collaros finding Nic Demski in the endzone from a couple yards out to make it 7-6 after one quarter.

In the second quarter the Stamps settled for a field-goal once again as Paredes hit from 53 yards out, a new career long.

The lead was short lived as Demski once again found pay dirt on the next drive to put the Bombers back out in front 14-9.

The next Stamps drive looked promising but a six yard loss on first down deep in Bombers territory mixed with an offside penalty resulted in another field-goal from Paredes, his fourth of the half. The score was 14-12.

The Bombers would add to their lead just before half time but Raheem Wilson had a huge knockdown in the endzone on second down to make sure it was only a field-goal.

The Bombers led 17-12 heading into the half.

After a couple two-and-outs the Stamps finally found the pay-dirt.

Carey rushed for 31 yards before Mitchell found Begelton for 23 yards into the redzone. Carey would punch it in from two yards out to give the Stamps the lead. It was also the first rushing touchdown the Bombers have given up all season. The Stampeders missed the two point conversion to make it 18-17.

Once again it was Winnipeg immediately responding, and it was again a major as Collaros found Dalton Schoen on a corner route to take the lead right back 24-18.

Calgary was not ready to go away.

The next drive saw Mitchell find Malik Henry twice for big gains before Begelton got the Stamps into the redzone for the second straight drive. Carey would drive into the endzone for his second straight score on the next play. The Stamps led 25-24 with 28 seconds left in the third quarter.

The Bombers would get near half on their next drive but no farther. They would punt a single to tie the game at 25 two minutes into the fourth quarter.

The offensive second half continued for Calgary on their next drive, Mitchell scrambled for 11 yards into Winnipeg territory and then found Begelton for 14 yards on the next play.

The drive would stop there with Paredes making it five-for-five on field-goals and give Calgary the 28-25 lead.

Collaros continued to make magic while on the run on his next drive escaping pressure multiple times and leading the Bombers to another touchdown 25 yards through the air to Schoen to give Winnipeg a 32-28 lead with 4:03 to go.

The Stamps ran into some injuries in the fourth quarter.

First it was Sean McEwen going down after getting rolled up on and then Tre Roberson looked to suffer a lower body injury.

Neither returned to the game.

The Bombers stopped the Stamps forcing them to punt on the next drive. Winnipeg would drive onto the Calgary side of half and hit a 40 yard field-goal with 27 seconds left to make it 35-28.

That would be the final.
