It was a quick start for the Stamps. On their first defensive possession of the game Washington intercepted Taylor Cornelius and took it back 45 yards for the score to make it 7-0.

The Elks gained some momentum on a punt as Peyton Logan fumbled the return and it was hopped on by Edmonton at the Stamps 22-yardline.

They punched it in from 17 yards to tie the game 7-7.

Logan redeemed himself on the kickoff return following the touchdown getting the ball to mid-field and setting up a one-yard Tommy Stevens plunge following a pass-interference call in the endzone. Calgary led 14-7.

It was the Stamps turn to make a play on special teams next as Charlie Moore blocked an Elks punt which was recovered at the one yardline.

Stevens went over the top for his second TD of the quarter making it 21-7 Stamps after the first quarter.

Edmonton put a nice drive together on their next possession leading to a 24-yard field-goal to make the score 21-10 Calgary.

Calgary connected on a field-goal of their own after Begelton had a 54-yard catch-and-run.

It was 24-10 Stamps, five minutes into the second quarter.

The Elks continued to stick with Calgary as they connected on a deep ball for 67-yards to set up another field-goal.

The score was 24-13 Stampeders heading into the half.

Edmonton gave up a safety on their first possession of the second half instead of punting from their own endzone to make the score 29-13.

On the ensuing drive Edmonton committed another pass interference penalty in the endzone resulting in Stevens third rushing TD of the night to put the Stamps up 36-13.

The Elks got back on the board late in the third quarter.

After a couple of long passes to Derel Walker, Jalin Marshall caught a touchdown pass from four yards out on third down.

Edmonton trailed Calgary 36-20 after three quarters of play.

Stevens continued his career night punching in his fourth touchdown from one yard out to put it out of reach five minutes into the final frame.

The score was 43-20 Stampeders.

Calgary would add to the large margin late in the game as Maier found Malik Henry for a 50-yard touchdown to make the score 50-20.

Edmonton cut into the Stamps lead with two minutes to go as Cornelius ran it in and they got a two-point conversion to make the score 50-28.

Calgary tried to run the ball and kill the clock but Carey had other ideas rushing the ball into the endzone from 40-yards out to make the final score 56-28 after a missed extra point.
