Stamps Sign Pair Of Draft Picks

The Calgary Stampeders have signed Sebastian Howard and Lino Schröter.

Howard was selected in the sixth round (49th overall) in Tuesday’s Canadian draft while German native Schröter went in the second round (15th overall) of the global draft.

Howard saw action at tight end over two seasons at Saint Mary’s and in 11 games for the Huskies, he had seven catches for 69 yards. He played junior football in B.C. for the Langley Rams.

Howard is expected to get a look at fullback during Stamps training camp.

Schröter played two years for the Cologne Crocodiles of the German Football League. He was the Crocodiles’ special teams player of the year and most improved defensive player in 2021 and made the German league all-star team in 2022 after recording 59 tackles including 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, six pass breakups and one forced fumble in 11 games.
