Calgary and Edmonton traded punts on their next two possessions.

Jake Maier was picked off on a long pass with just over four minutes remaining in the quarter giving the Elks the ball at their own 43-yardline. Edmonton was forced to punt and kicked their second single of the first quarter to make the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play.

Edmonton added to their lead early in the second quarter with a 41-yard field goal making it 5-0.

Calgary got on the board with a career long 57-yard field-goal from Rene Parades, making the score 5-3.

The Elks missed a 29-yard field goal resulting in another rouge to make the score 6-3 Edmonton.

The Green and Gold scored the first major of the game, through the air, with 1:13 remaining in the half to make it 13-3.

Maier found Reggie Begelton for 38-yards down to the Elks 17-yardline with under 30 seconds to go in the half. That led to a 13-yard field goal to make the score 13-6 at halftime.

Edmonton found the endzone with 3:41 to go in the third-quarter and put them up 20-6.

The Stamps answered with a major of their own on the next drive. Jalen Philpot ripped off a 44-yard run before the drive was finished off by a Kylin Hill 12-yard catch. The score was 20-13.

The Elks got a big play on their next drive moving the ball from their own 22-yardline down to the Stamps goal-line before punching it in for a touchdown to make the score 27-13.

Calgary countered with a strong set of passing plays but Maier was intercepted for a third time in the game giving the Elks the ball back at their own 28-yardline.

The defence held strong forcing an Elks punt. On the ensuing kick Peyton Logan cut across the field and returned the ball 104-yards to the endzone making the score 27-20 with 3:19 remaining.

The momentum was short lived as the Elks hit on a 73-yard touchdown pass to regain their 14 point lead and go up 34-20.
