Logan Bonner came out for his first career CFL start.

He completed two-of-three passes on his first drive leading to a Stampeders field goal to make the score 3-1 Calgary early.

Edmonton added another punt single on their next drive to make the score 3-2.

The Stamps were moving the ball nicely on their second drive before being intercepted in the endzone to give the ball back to the Elks.

The score was 3-2 Calgary following one quarter of play.

The Elks hit on a 60-yard pass for a touchdown early in the second quarter to make the score 10-3 following a successful two-point conversion.

Jalen Philpot made a couple of first down plays on the Stamps first possession of the second quarter. That led to a 42-yard field goal from Rene Paredes to put the score at 10-6 Elks with 10:14 remaining in the half.

Edmonton countered with a major with 6:44 until halftime to make the score 17-6.

The Elks  added three more with just over a minute until the break to take a 20-6 lead.

Edmonton wasn’t done there as they grabbed their second interception of the game and immediately were in excellent field position for another score before the half. They put up another field goal to make the score 23-6 going into halftime.

The Stampeders were picked off again by the Green and Gold on their first drive of the second half, but the Elks were forced to punt by the Stamps defence.

Bonner hit Reggie Begelton with a 26-yard pass to move Calgary into the Elks side of midfield which resulted in their third field goal of the game to make the score 23-9.

The Elks added another touchdown to kick off the fourth quarter and make the score 30-9.

The Stamps went for it on third down from the Edmonton 25-yardline with just over nine minutes remaining but were intercepted for the fourth time of the night, turning the ball over deep in Elks territory.

Defensive lineman Mike Rose picked off McLeod Bethel-Thompson and took it back 83-yards to the endzone for his first career major to get the Stampeders within two touchdowns, 30-16, with 5:59 to go.
