But before we reach Tuesday’s draft, let’s take a look at previous picks still making an impact for the club.
DB Ben Labrosse – 2024
Selected fourth overall in last year’s draft, Ben Labrosse proved his worth on the gridiron throughout his rookie season.
The McGill alum played 14 games and made nine starts at field halfback in 2024. He recorded 34 defensive tackles include two for loss, two stops on special-teams, four knockdowns and one fumble recovery.
In Week 16 against the Riders Labrosse found his stride, tallying a team-leading eight tackles in the contest.
OL Christy Nkanu – 2024
The Stamps traded up in order to secure this pick, sending their back-to-back selections in the second round to the Blue Bombers in exchange for their first-round spot.
With the eighth overall selection, the Red and White drafted Christy Nkanu, who went on to play all 18 games during his rookie campaign including 11 starts at right guard.
REC Clark Barnes – 2023
Barnes was selected 24th overall with the Stampeders’ third-round pick in the 2023 draft.
The former Guelph Gryphon built on his impressive rookie season, recording 590 receiving yards, 44 receptions and four touchdowns in his sophomore year.
After only playing nine games in 2023, Barnes was able to stay healthier last season and suited up for 16 games.
REC Jalen Philpot – 2022
The University of Calgary alum was selected fifth overall in 2022 and put together a promising season in his rookie year.
However, he was held out of the entire 2023 season due to injury which put a pause on his progression as a professional receiver.
Philpot was able to return to action last year and played all 18 games, as well recording 66 receptions for 659 yards, and three touchdowns.
DB Bailey Devine-Scott – 2022
Selected 25th overall in the third round of the global draft, Devine-Scott remains as the only global player currently signed for 2025.
Prior to the 2024 season, the Australian defensive back had only suited up for 11 games in his CFL career and mostly participated on the team’s practice squad. But last season he emerged as a dominant force, dressing for 17 games and making four starts at the SAM position.
BDS led the team in special-teams tackles with 16 and also recorded 14 defensive tackles including two for loss, one sack and one knockdown.
His first sack came in Week 19 against the Elks, where he took down Tre Ford in the endzone for a safety.
OL Bryce Bell – 2021
The Wilfrid Laurier alum was selected with the 11th overall pick in the 2021 draft.
Bell will be entering his fifth season with 56 career contests under his belt. Unfortunately, in 2024 he was limited to 10 games and had to miss the remaining eight due to a calf injury.
He showed his versatility on the offensive line as he made all 10 starts at left guard last season, having previously taken starts at left tackle and right tackle in 2023.
OL Zack Williams -2019
The Manitoba product was picked by the Stamps at 28th overall in 2019 and has suited up for a total of 66 games since then.
Williams played 12 games in 2024 and made seven starts at right guard and five at left guard. He missed six games in August and September before returning to the field in Week 16.
LB Fraser Sopik – 2019
Sopik was selected 31st overall by Calgary in the 2019 draft and returns to the Stamps after two seasons out east.
He played 15 games and made 12 starts for Toronto last season and established a new career high 57 defensive tackles in the process. Additionally, he recorded six special teams stops, three knockdowns, one sack and one forced fumble. His successful 2024 campaign culminated in a Grey Cup victory over Winnipeg.
