1. Us
The Stampeders look to go 2-0 on the season when they travel to Toronto to take on the Argonauts Saturday at 2 p.m. MST. Calgary picked up a season-opening, 38-26 victory over Hamilton last week. Dedrick Mills led the way offensively with three touchdowns on the ground.
2. Them
The Argos will raise their Grey Cup banner in their home-opener on Saturday. Toronto fell 28-10 in Week 1 in Montreal. The Boatmen failed to get much going on the ground totaling just 10 rush attempts in the loss. Nick Arbuckle will start under centre for the second-straight week as Chad Kelly continues to recover from a leg injury suffered in the East Semi-Final last season.
3. Head To Head
The Stamps and Argonauts met in Week 9 in Calgary last season with the Stamps coming away with a 27-23 victory. A week later it was the Argos picking up a 39-25 victory at home. The two teams will finish off their season series Oct. 18 in Calgary.
4. Fast Facts
The Stamps are attempting to get back on the winning track in Toronto after suffering losses in each of their two most recent visits to BMO Field.
Prior to that, Calgary had won eight consecutive road games against the Argos, a stretch that covered 10 years (2013-22) and three venues – Rogers Centre and BMO Field as well as the Tiger-Cats’ home stadium in Hamilton. The teams played in Hamilton in 2015 when the Argos were forced out of Rogers Centre because of a conflict with the Major League Baseball playoffs.
It’s the first time the Stampeders have opened their road schedule in Toronto since 2018 when Calgary picked up a 41-7 win at BMO Field.

6. Players to Watch
Stamps: DL Folarin Orimolade: Orimolade goes head-to-head with his former team for the first time since he was traded back to the Stampeders in the off-season. He was a big part of the Boatmen’s Grey Cup run last year. Orimolade registered one tackle in Week 1 for the Stamps.
Argos: LB Cam Judge: Judge, who was the player that went to the Argos in the Orimolade trade, played three seasons with the Red and White from 2022-2024. He registered 241 tackles in 52 games played in Calgary.
7. Quotable
“It’s amazing – to have that running game we did last week and teams can’t stop both, they have to choose one, so hopefully it can help open up something else and we connect on that end.” – QB Vernon Adams Jr. on the run game’s success last weekend and building confidence on offence.
