The Calgary defence did their job in the first half and the offence went off in the final 30 minutes as the Calgary Stampeders moved to 2-0 on the season with a 29-19 victory over the Toronto Argonauts.
Dedrick Mills, Adrian Greene and Vernon Adams Jr. had touchdowns in the victory.

It was a slow start for both teams as they traded punts to start the game. Unfortunately for the Stampeders Reggie Begelton suffered a lower body injury on the first drive and did not return.
The score following one quarter of play was 1-0 Toronto after a missed field-goal that went through the endzone for a rouge.
The Stampeders got on the board five-minutes into the second-quarter with Rene Paredes booting a field-goal from 46-yards out to make the score 3-1.
The first major of the game was scored by the Stampeders defence as Adrian Greene picked off Nick Arbuckle and took it to the house. The extra point was unsuccessful to making the score 9-1.

Greene grabbed his second interception of the game late in the second-quarter but the Stampeders were unable to put any more points on the board.
The Argos added a field-goal to make the score 9-4 Calgary at the break.
Paredes struck another field-goal from 23-yards out to extend the Stamps lead to 12-4 early in the third-quarter.
Toronto chipped into the Calgary lead with a single and a field-goal to make the score 12-8 heading into the fourth.
Dedrick Mills found the endzone for his fourth touchdown of the season following a 37-yard flea flicker pass from Vernon Adams Jr. to Dominique Rhymes. The score was 19-8.

The Argonauts added three more after a second-down sack from Jaylon Hutchings. The score was 19-11.
The Stampeders countered with another major as Adams Jr. rushed it in from eight-yards out to make the score 26-11.
Arbuckle found Damonte Coxie for the Argos first touchdown of the game with 4:47 remaining in the game. The Argonauts were successful on the two-point conversion making the score 26-19.
Jalen Philpot made a huge catch on the Stamps next drive to set up another Paredes field-goal and extend the lead to a final score of 29-19.
