7 Things – Stamps @ Riders

Due to air quality concerns, the Canadian Football League (CFL) game between the Calgary Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders on July 11 has been postponed to Saturday, July 12 at 2 p.m. local/4 p.m. ET.

The decision was made by the CFL League Office, the competing teams and the CFL Players’ Association.

The game was originally scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. local/9 p.m. ET, before being delayed.

Read up on the 7 Things you need to know before today’s revised kickoff between the Stamps and Riders!

1. Us

The Stampeders will look to continue their momentum from a massive 37-16 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last week as they head to Saskatchewan to take on the Roughriders Friday night at 7 p.m. MT. Calgary came out of the gates hot against the visiting Bombers and didn’t look back, scoring twice through the air and adding two pick-6’s as well to run away with the first annual Stampede Bowl.

2. Them

The Riders are the CFL’s lone remaining undefeated team at 4-0 entering their clash with the Stamps. Before a bye last week, Saskatchewan took down the BC Lions 37-18. Veteran Trevor Harris is expected to return under centre this week after missing the last game due to injury.

3. Head To Head

The Stamps split their two-game season series with the Riders in 2024. They lost 37-29 in Week 16 before picking up a 27-12 road victory in Saskatchewan in the final week of the regular season. These two will meet again in Calgary on Aug. 23 for a Battle of the Prairies.

4. Fast Facts

It’s strength against strength in Friday’s matchup as the Stamps are allowing a league-low average of 20.3 points per game while Saskatchewan is tied for first in the CFL with a per-game average of 33.8 points scored.

Calgary won its only previous 2025 road game – a 29-19 victory against Toronto in Week 2. Saskatchewan is 2-0 at home. Both teams have won their lone matchup to date against a divisional opponent.

Calgary has a 7-1 regular-season record in Regina since Mosaic Stadium opened its doors in 2017. Including the final three games at the venue known for most of its existence as Taylor Field, the Stamps are 10-1 in their 11 most recent regular-season visits to Saskatchewan.
