The Red and White enter this week’s clash 5-1 on the season after picking up two wins against Winnipeg and handing the Saskatchewan Roughriders their first loss of the season over the last three weeks. The Stamps sit at 2-1 on the season at home going into Thursday’s contest.

2. Them

The Alouettes are 4-2 this year after picking up a last second 26-25 victory over the Toronto Argonauts their last time out. However, Montreal was delivered a devastating blow this week as quarterback Davis Alexander was placed on the six-game injured list. Veteran CFL pivot McLeod Bethel-Thompson is projected to make the start for the Alouettes for the foreseeable future.

3. Head to Head

This is the first of two meetings this season. The Stamps will travel to Montreal on Sept. 26 to finish off the two game set. Last year, Montreal picked up a 30-26 home victory in Week 5 and then the two teams tied 19-19 in Calgary in Week 15.

4. Fast Facts

It could be a milestone night for Stamps kicker René Paredes, who is just one field goal away from becoming the sixth player in CFL history to boot 600 field goals.

Defence has played a big role in both teams’ early-season success as the Stamps allow a league-low average of 18.5 points per game while the Alouettes are second in that category at 22.8 points per game.

Thanks to our Director of Communications Jean Lefebvre for handing off these facts!

5. Who’s Where

6. Players to Watch

Stamps: DL Jaylon Hutchings: The second-year Stampeder sits in a tie for second in sacks in the CFL this season with four,  just one behind the league leader. He has also added 14 tackles to his 2025 resume. He has sacks in back-to-back games coming into this week’s battle.

Als: DL Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund: The former Stamp is off to a hot start as well on the defensive line. Like Hutchings, Adeyemi-Berglund has four sacks on the season. He has also added 12 tackles and two fumble recoveries so far for the Alouettes.

7. Quotable

“They do what they do really well. They bring pressure to the quarterback and their (defensive backs) are smart players as well. So as a quarterback, just always got to be smart with the ball and my decisions, and get these playmakers the ball and let them do the rest.” – QB Vernon Adams Jr. on preparing for a strong Alouettes defence.
