1. Us
The Stampeders (8-6) have an opportunity to end a three-game skid against the BC Lions (8-7) after dropping a loss to the Alouettes last week. Kickoff goes at 5 p.m. MT on Saturday night at BC Place.
All-Star DL Lorenzo Mauldin IV makes his debut for the Stamps after being acquired in a trade with the Redblacks last Sunday.
The 2022 Most Outstanding Defensive Player slots into the Stampeders lineup to help shore up the defensive line after veteran pass rusher Folarin Orimolade suffered a season-ending injury in Week 14.
2. Them
The Lions are on a three-game win streak after dishing out losses to Ottawa, Calgary and Toronto. The Leos offence has outscored teams 117-72 in those victories. In eight of their last 10 games, BC has put up 30+ points against opposing defences.
In last week’s win over the Argonauts, QB Nathan Rourke became just the second Canadian after Russ Jackson to eclipse 10,000 career passing yards.
3. Head to Head
It’s the second and final regular season meeting between the Stamps and Lions. The Lions ran away with a 52-23 win in Week 16 at McMahon Stadium. A game that saw the Stamps go through three quarterbacks after starting pivot Vernon Adams Jr. left the game in the third quarter.
Calgary lost both their regular-season visits to BC Place during the 2024 campaign, but from 2014 to 2023 the Stampeders were 9-2 when playing in Vancouver.
4. Fast Facts
- Last week, QB Vernon Adams Jr. surpassed the 3,000-yard in passing for the 2025 season. It’s the third 3,000-yard season of Adams’ career as he previously reached the milestone with Montreal in 2019 and with BC in 2023.
- Veteran Calgary kicker René Paredes became the sixth member of the CFL’s 600 club in career field goals when he connected on a 37-yard attempt against the Ottawa Redblacks in Week 8. Paredes now needs four more field goals to pass Troy Westwood for fifth place on the CFL’s all-time list in three-pointers
- Tailback Dedrick Mills last week became the first CFL player this season to reach the 1,000-yard mark in rushing.
