The Stampeders have plenty to be thankful for this Thanksgiving Weekend, snapping their four-game winless run with a 37-20 victory against the Tiger-Cats in Hamilton Saturday afternoon.
Calgary improves to 9-7 and are tied with the BC Lions for second place in the CFL West Division.

After marching up the field into Hamilton territory, the Red & White got a third field goal from Paredes to extend the lead 9-3 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Ticats began to generate some momentum but that ended when Clarence Hicks sacked Mitchell. Hamilton kicker Marc Liegghio would finish the drive with a 40-yard field-goal to cut the lead to 9-6.

The Stampeders responded with a drive of their own , featuring a huge 31-yard run by running back Dedrick Mills. Hamilton’s defence came up big at their six-yard line to force the Stamps to bring out Paredes for his fourth field-goal of the game.
On the special teams side of the ball, Erik Brooks returned a beauty for 30 yards to put the Stamps in prime field position towards the end of the second quarter. Rookie running back Ludovick Choquette finished it off and bolted down the middle for a 44-yard touchdown, the first major of his career. Quincy Vaughn would cash in the two-point conversion to extend the lead to 20-6 at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Ticats offence showed some life with Mitchell finding Kenny Lawler in the endzone for a 10-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 20-13.
The Stamps immediately responded with a drive of their own that started with a 41-yard pass completion to Jalen Philpot. Mills iced it off with a two-yard rushing touchdown to make it 27-13 going into the fourth quarter.

Mitchell completed a 31-yard passing TD to Jevoni Robinson to snip the Stamps lead to one score in the fourth quarter. The visitors responded on the following drive with a 37-yard field-goal from Paredes to extend the lead to 30-20 with 6:55 remaining.
The Red & White weren’t done yet with Adams Jr. connecting on a 69-yard deep ball to Erik Brooks. Mills put the cherry on the cake scoring a four-yard rushing TD to round out the scoring.
