The CFL announced the largest media rights deal in league history Thursday morning.
The six-year agreements will redefine how fans across Canada and around the world access and experience Canadian football.
Starting in 2027, fans can watch the Calgary Stampeders across a variety of media platforms, including a renewed commitment from Bell Media (TSN) and the introduction of DAZN as a major broadcast partner.
“It’s an exciting day for the league,” said Stampeders president Jay McNeil. “When you think about a media rights deal, this is transformative for (the CFL).”
“It’s the highest valuation for media rights in league history so that’s incredibly exciting. When you think about it from a reach perspective, we’re introducing the CFL game to a much bigger audience and it’s pretty exciting.”
“It’s going to impact everybody in a positive way.”
“They’re the world’s largest sports platform; they have 140,000 live events every year,” McNeil added on partnering with global sports media titan, DAZN. “They are a big-time player in sports media globally, and for the league to be able to partner with a business like that shows the strength of where we are as an organization and as a league, and where we’re going.”
TSN will broadcast up to three regular-season CFL games per week for a total of 60 games, including the iconic Friday Night Football.
Plus, TSN is home to six of the eight playoff games as part of the newly announced postseason format. Expanding reach to the largest possible national audience, TSN, CTV and Crave will simulcast the Grey Cup and select games.
DAZN Canada will exclusively feature Saturday Night Football weekly at 5 p.m. MT throughout the regular season and extending into the first two playoff rounds. A new team of analysts, play-by-play announcers, commentators and sideline reporters will be assembled to deliver exclusive coverage of the league’s on-field action and entertainment.
This announcement helps sustain the CFL’s momentum, building on new rules, schedule and playoff changes that are indicative of a league that is innovating and evolving.
With more people watching and talking about the CFL, the Calgary Stampeders are positioned in the driver’s seat for the next era of growth.
The Stampeders 2026 season begins on Friday, June 5 at 7 p.m. MT, as the Red and White host the visiting Winnipeg Blue Bombers for their home opener to kick off the Year of the Horse.

Then, Canada’s biggest party comes to Calgary this Fall as McMahon Stadium plays host to the 113th Grey Cup on Nov. 15.
