The Calgary Stampeders are proud to be Partners for Life with Canadian Blood Services and help spread the message about the importance of giving the gift of life.

Okotoks native Charlie Power is the team representative for the Canadian Blood Services.

“I enjoy the opportunity to be the Stampeders’ player representative for Canadian Blood Services,” said Power. “Donating blood is a gift that costs you nothing more than an hour of your time, but the consequence of too few donations carries a much higher price.

“I always look forward to bringing awareness to the critical work that Canadian Blood Services does.”

Stampeders players, wives, coaches, staff and members of the Outriders have made several visits to the CBS clinic to make a blood donation. The visits are part of a campaign to encourage fans to donate blood and they build upon the Partners for Life program between the Stamps and Canadian Blood Services.

“Canadian Blood Services is very proud of the partnership that exists between the Calgary Stampeders and CBS,” said Shamus Neeson, Canadian Blood Services donor relations and event coordinator for Alberta and Saskatchewan. “The Stampeders have always been very proud and focused in helping the community and this is no different. We look forward to growing this relationship.”
