(Calgary) Sanders played 16 games and made 10 starts at safety. He recorded 45 defensive tackles including two tackles for loss, one interception, two forced fumbles and three knockdowns. He also has one kickoff return for 20 yards and two punt returns for seven yards. Sanders made his first career interception in Week 5 at Montreal and had six tackles including one tackle for loss and a knockdown against Ottawa in Week 11. Sanders also has one punt return for three yards. He was on the one-game injury list in Week 4.

College           

Sanders completed his collegiate career with 25 games over two seasons (2021-22) at Nevada. He earned first-team all-Mountain West Conference honours in 2022 after leading the Wolf Pack with 82 tackles. Sanders’ statline for the season also included five tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, four passes defended and five interceptions including one pick-six. He transferred to Nevada after playing 30 games for the University of South Florida Bulls. In a total of 55 games for the two schools, he had 200 tackles including 12.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, six forced fumbles, 11 passes defended and seven interceptions including two that were returned for touchdowns.

Personal

Sanders is an alumnus of Tampa Catholic High School and he earned defensive MVP honours in his final two seasons for the Crusaders. He has a degree in integrated public relations and advertising.
