(Montreal) Keyes participated in training camp with the Alouettes and tallied three defensive tackles, one knockdown and one special-teams tackle across two pre-season games. He was released on May 31 as part of final roster cuts. Keyes has been on the Stampeders’ practice roster since he was signed ahead of the team’s game in Week 6.

College

Keyes played four seasons (2016-19) at Tulane and appeared in 40 games with 23 starts for the Green Wave. He recorded 95 tackles, 19 passes defended and two interceptions. Keyes was named an American Athletic Conference honourable mention following his senior season in which he made 47 tackles and started all 13 games.

Personal

Keyes was a two-year letterman at Laurel (Miss.) High School and helped the Golden Tornadoes win a state title in both football and basketball. As a senior on the football field, he was named first-team all-state as he registered 81 tackles, five interceptions including one returned for a touchdown and two blocked punts. Keyes also helped the basketball team achieve a 27-5 record and the state championship as a senior. He majored in digital design at Tulane. His given name is Thakarius, but he has preferred “BoPete” from a young age which is a nickname from his grandmother.
