Benenoch was a fifth-round selection (148th overall) by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2016 National Football League draft. After four seasons with the Bucs, he was released on Sept. 11, 2019, and signed by the New England Patriots. Benenoch also spent time with the Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions in 2019, with the Patriots in 2020, the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints in 2021 and the New York Jets in 2022. Over the course of his NFL career, he has played 36 games and made 23 starts.
College
Benenoch played 36 games over three seasons (2013-15) at UCLA. He started 35 consecutive games for the Bruins, seeing action both at tackle and guard. In 2015, he was part of an offensive line that allowed just 14 sacks, the second-lowest total in school history.
Personal
Benenoch played football at Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Tex. He was born in Nigeria and was eight years old when he moved to the United States with his family. Benenoch got his start in football as a youth in Texas when his mother thought she was signing him up for soccer.
