Selected by Calgary in the first round (eighth overall) of the 2025 draft and signed on May 5, 2025.

(Calgary) Fortin has dressed for two games. He made his CFL debut in Week 1 against Hamilton and was used as an extra offensive lineman in running situations and on short-yardage plays. In Week 2 at Toronto, Fortin filled in at centre for almost three full quarters after starter Bryce Bell went down with an injury.

College

Fortin played 41 games over four seasons (2021-24) at the University of Connecticut. He saw action at centre, tackle and guard during his career with the Huskies and was the starter at left guard during the 2024 season.

Personal

Before attending UConn, Fortin played at Cégep Beauce-Appalaches. He was a two-time all-star for the Condors and was named the league’s top offensive lineman in 2019.
