2023

(Ottawa) Basambombo suffered a shoulder injury in training camp and spent the season on the six-game injury list.

2022

(Ottawa) Basambombo dressed for all 18 regular-season games for the Redblacks. He recorded six special-teams tackles including his first career special-teams takedown in a Week 5 game at Saskatchewan. Basambombo had a pair of special-teams tackles in Week 13 at Montreal.

2021

(Ottawa) Basambombo dressed for five games during his rookie season including his professiona debut in Week 1 at Edmonton. He did not record any stats.

College           

Basambombo played 14 games over three seasons (2016-18) at Laval. Over the course of his career with the Rouge et Or, he accumulated 42 tackles including four tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Basambomo was a Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) all-star in 2018 after recording 31.5 tackles including three tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in eight games.

Personal

Basambombo was born in Congo and moved to Canada with his family at the age of 9. He attended École Secondaire Catholique Franco-Cité in Ottawa and played junior football with the Cumberland Panthers.
