2025

(Calgary) Brooks played all 18 regular-season games and made 14 starts. He had 51 catches for 824 yards, two touchdowns and a two-point convert, two carries for nine yards, 31 kickoff returns for 665 yards, 33 punt returns for 335 yards and a touchdown as well as two missed-field goal returns for 20 yards. Brooks had a pair of 100-yard receiving games including a career-best 136 yards in the regular-season finale at Edmonton. In the Labour Day Classic against Edmonton, Brooks ran back a punt 86 yards for his first career return touchdown. In the the Labour Day rematch with the Elks five days later, he had the first 100-yard receiving game of his career as he made six catches for 115 yards. Brooks had 214 all-purpose yards – including 92 receiving yards on five catches – in a Week 18 contest at BC. In Week 19 at Hamilton, he had a career-long 69-yard reception. He was also in uniform the Western Semi-Final and had three catches for 27 yards, five kickoff returns for 117 yards and five punt returns for 34 yards.

2024

(Calgary) Brooks played six games including three starts and had three receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown, 17 punt returns for 166 yards, 13 kickoff returns for 287 yards and two missed-field goal returns for 127 yards. He made his CFL debut in Week 1 against Hamilton and had 164 combined return yards. Brooks’ first CFL catch came in a Week 4 contest against Winnipeg and his first touchdown – a 32-yard reception – came in Week 6 at Winnipeg. Brooks suffered a broken arm in a Week 7 contest against BC and missed the remainder of the season.

College           

Brooks played five seasons (2019-23) at Fresno State. In 52 games for the Bulldogs, he had 128 catches for 1,548 yards and 10 touchdowns, 20 punt returns for 172 yards and one kickoff return for 35 yards. In 2023, Brooks established career bests with 60 catches, 788 receiving yards and five touchdowns as he earned all-Mountain West Conference honourable-mention recognition. He had 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns against Purdue and a season-high 11 catches for 104 yards at Arizona State.

Personal

Brooks is an alumnus of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Corona, Calif. He competed in football and track for the Mustangs. Brooks had 1,075 yards from scrimmage and scored 16 touchdowns during his senior season at Eleanor Roosevelt. He was a walk-on at Fresno State before receiving a scholarship prior to the 2021 season.
