College
McDowell played his senior season (2018) at Louisiana-Lafayette after three years (2015-17) at Ole Miss. In his single season with the Ragin’ Cajuns, he recorded 50 tackles including four tackles for loss and added 0.5 sacks, four quarterback hurries and one pass breakup. McDowell played 25 games over three years at Ole Miss and accumulated 33 tackles including 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble.
Personal
McDowell was named district defensive MVP after his senior season at Covington (La.) High School. During that season, he amassed 128 tackles including 10 tackles for loss, nine sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He also saw action on offence and had eight rushing touchdowns and one receiving major.
