Wharton started all 48 of his career games over four years (2015-18) at Rutgers. He served as a team captain in his final year and was the Scarlet Knights’ recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. He amassed 205 career tackles including 14.5 tackles for loss and had four interceptions, one forced fumble and 32 pass breakups.
