2023

(Calgary) In his return to Calgary after a stint in the National Football League, Vaughters recorded five sacks in the first five games of the season including back-to-back two-sack performances at Winnipeg in Week 4 and against Saskatchewan in Week 5. In six games, he had 15 tackles and a forced fumble. Vaughters suffered a season-ending arm injury in the Stamps’ sixth game.

 

2018

(Calgary) Vaughters appeared in 16 regular-season games and recorded 24 tackles, two special-teams stops and five sacks. He had back-to-back two-sack performances against Edmonton in Week 13 and against Hamilton in Week 14.

 

2017

(Calgary) Vaughters played 17 games (eight starts) and recorded 26 defensive tackles including three tackles for loss, six quarterback sacks, 15 QB pressures, six special-teams tackles, two knockdowns and a blocked convert. He began the season on the practice roster. Vaughters dressed for both post-season games, recording one special-teams tackle and one quarterback pressure in the Western Final and one special-teams tackle and one kickoff return for 12 yards in the Grey Cup.

 

2016

(Calgary) Vaughters joined the practice roster on July 25 and remained there until he was released on Aug. 10.

College

Vaughters played linebacker for four seasons at Stanford (2011-14), appearing in 54 games and making 18 starts. He recorded 124 total tackles for the Cardinal, including 21.5 tackles for loss, as well as 12.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. As a senior in 2014, Vaughters had 50 tackles and 6.5 sacks including two-sack games against Utah and Maryland.

 

Personal

Vaughters starred in football and track at Tucker (Georgia) High School and helped the Tigers win a regional football championship during his senior season. He also excelled in academics as he was on the honour roll and was a two-time Georgia Merit Scholar.
