(Calgary) MacGougan attended training camp with the Stampeders and saw action in two pre-season games. He was released on the final cutdown date and re-signed on June 17. MacGougan made his CFL debut in Week 3 against Ottawa and played 15 games while handling the long-snapping duties. He was also in uniform for the Western Semi-Final.

MacGougan played 37 games over four years (2021-24) at Wilfrid Laurier. He served as the long snapper for the Golden Hawks and was a member of Laurier’s Ontario University Athletics championship team in 2024.
