2025

(Calgary) Hutchings played and started 17 games. He had 39 defensive tackles including three tackles for loss, eight sacks, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble and two knockdowns upon being named to the West Division All-CFL and All-CFL teams. Hutchings recorded his first career sack in the CFL when he brought down Toronto’s Nick Arbuckle in Week 2. In Week 3, he sacked Ottawa’s Dustin Crum in the end zone for a safety. Hutchings sacked Winnipeg’s Zach Collaros twice in a Week 10 win over the Blue Bombers. In Week 13 against Edmonton, he had three tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery. Hutchings started the Western Semi-Final at BC and recorded a pair of sacks and a knockdown.

2024

(Calgary) Hutchings signed with the Stampeders on Oct. 5 and was placed on the practice roster. He was activated in Week 20 and made his CFL debut in a road game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In two games, Hutchings recorded a pair of defensive tackles.

College           

Hutchings played made 57 starts in 62 games across six seasons (2018-23) at Texas Tech. He had 193 career tackles for the Red Raiders including 108 solo stops. Hutchings also registered 26 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup.

Personal

Hutchings saw action as both a defensive lineman and a running back at Forney (Tex.) High School. During his junior season with the Jackrabbits, he was first-team all-district as a defensive lineman after recording 47 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and four sacks and second-team at running back after rushing for 719 yards and six touchdowns. Hutchings has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas Tech.
