2025

(Saskatchewan/Calgary) Herdman-Reed attended training camp with the Roughriders and saw action in both pre-season games, recording two defensive tackles and two special-teams stops. He was released on May 31 on the roster deadline day and signed by the Stampeders on July 14. Herdman-Reed made his Stamps debut in Week 7 at Winnipeg. In nine games, he had one defensive tackle and three special-teams tackles. In Week 18 at BC, Herdman-Reed played the 100th regular-season contest of his career. He was on the roster for the Western Semi-Final at BC and made one special-teams tackle.

 

2024

(Saskatchewan) Herman-Reed played 16 games and was second on the Roughriders with 16 special-teams tackles. He had three special-teams stops against Toronto in Week 5. Herdman-Reed was in the lineup for both the Western Semi-Final and Western Final and recorded one special-teams tackle.

 

2023

(Saskatchewan) Herdman-Reed played 11 games for the Roughriders and accumulated three defensive tackles and 10 special-teams stops. He had four total tackles – one on defence and three on special teams – against Edmonton in the season-opener. Herdman-Reed collected a pair of special-teams tackles in Week 6 against Calgary and in Week 9 against Ottawa.

 

2022

(Saskatchewan) In 14 games for the Roughriders, Herdman-Reed had two defensive tackles and 10 special-teams takedowns. He had three special-teams tackles against Ottawa in Week 5.

 

2021

(Saskatchewan) In his first season with the Roughriders, Herdman-Reed played 13 games and made one start. He had five defensive tackles and five special-teams tackles. Herdman-Reed started the regular-season finale at weak-side linebacker and recorded five defensive tackles. He was in uniform for both of Saskatchewan’s playoff games and had one defensive tackle.

 

2020

(Hamilton) Herdman-Reed was under contract with the Tiger-Cats but the season was cancelled because of the global pandemic.

 

2019

(Toronto) Herdman played 11 games and made seven starts for the Argonauts. He made 36 defensive tackles including two tackles for loss and added two sacks, two forced fumbles and two knockdowns. Herdman-Reed recorded the first two sacks of his CFL career against Hamilton in the Labour Day Classic. He had a career-high nine defensive tackles against Edmonton in Week 7. Herdman-Reed missed the final seven games of the season due to injury.

 

2018

(Toronto) Herdman-Reed was in uniform for all 18 games with the Argonauts and led the team with 19 special-teams tackles. He also had three defensive tackles. Starting with an Aug. 24 game and concluding with an Oct. 28 matchup in the same city, Herdman-Reed recorded at least one special-teams tackle in nine consecutive games including a season-high three tackles against Saskatchewan in Week 15.

 

2017

(Toronto) Herdman-Reed dressed for 11 games during his rookie season with the Argonauts and had three defensive tackles and two special-teams stops. After starting the season on the practice roster, he made his professional debut in Week 6 at Saskatchewan and made one special-teams tackle. Herdman-Reed picked up his first career defensive tackle in Week 13 against Edmonton.

College

Herdman-Reed played 31 games over four seasons at Simon Fraser University. He accumulated 213 career tackles including 32 tackles for loss at the collegiate level and also had six sacks, two interceptions, six fumble recoveries and five forced fumbles.

 

Personal

Herdman-Reed is an alumnus of Sturgeon Heights Collegiate in Winnipeg. His twin brother Jordan played 16 games for the Stampeders in 2023. The twins’ father James Reed played professionally on both sides of the border including CFL time with Winnipeg, Montreal, Toronto and Saskatchewan.
