College           

Alonso played 55 games and made 39 starts over five seasons (2017-21) at Virginia. He accumulated 116 tackles during his time with the Cavaliers including 20 tackles for loss. Alonso recorded 9.5 sacks and also had one forced fumble and three passes defended. He served as one of Virginia’s team captains during his senior season.

Personal

Alonso played on both the offensive and defensive line and also long snapped for Gulliver Preparatory School in Pinecrest, Fla. He earned first-team all-county honours and as a senior for the Raiders he collected 52 tackles including 24 tackles for loss and added nine sacks and eight forced fumbles.
