• 2020 – Signed by New York Giants (NFL) as an undrafted free agent on Apr. 29. He spent time on the Giants’ practice squad during the 2020 season
• 2020 – Re-signed with Giants on Jan. 3. He had six catches for 72 yards for the Giants during 2021 pre-season and was placed on injured list Aug. 24. He was waived on May 10, 2022
• 2022 – Claimed on waivers by Chicago Bears (NFL) on May 11 and released on Aug. 16

2024

(Calgary) John missed the first six games of the season due to injury and was activated for a Week 8 contest in Ottawa. In three games, he has two catches for 14 yards.

2023

(Calgary) After spending the first two games of the season on the injury list, John made his CFL debut in Week 3 against Saskatchewan. In his second contest – a Week 5 game in Winnipeg – he made his first career catch. For the season, he dressed for 10 games and had two catches for five yards and made one tackle.

College           

John played 34 games over four seasons (2016-19) at Simon Fraser. He made 132 catches for 1,928 yards and 20 touchdowns and was named SFU’s Most Valuable Player and offensive player of the year in 2019 after he led the NCAA Division II’s Great Northwest Athletic Conference in receptions (53), receiving yards (861) and touchdowns (10).

Personal

In high school, John was a provincial football all-star at Vancouver College. He also played basketball for the Fighting Irish.
