2025

(Calgary) Johnson started the season on the practice roster and was activated for a Week 7 game at Winnipeg, getting the start at boundary corner. In 11 games, he had 36 tackles including two tackles for loss, two interceptions and three knockdowns. In his CFL debut, Johnson had four defensive tackles and one interception that he returned 30 yards. His second interception came in a Week 18 game at BC. Johnson had a team-leading eight tackles and a knockdown in a Week 19 victory at Hamilton. He was the starting boundary halfback for the Stamps’ Western Semi-Final game against BC and has four tackles and a knockdown.

College           

Johnson played his final two collegiate seasons (2021-22) at Virginia. In 22 games including 21 starts for the Cavaliers, he had 95 tackles including five tackles for loss and five interceptions. Johnson earned first-team all-Atlantic Coast Conference honours in 2022 after registering 51 tackles, two interceptions and 14 passes defended in 10 games. He transferred to Virginia after playing 33 games over three years (2018-20) at Louisville. Johnson had 43 career tackles and two interceptions for the Cardinals.

Personal

In high school, Johnson starred at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School in Hollywood, Fla. He was an all-county and all-state honouree as a senior for the Lions.
