2024

(Montreal/Edmonton) Jones attended training camp with the Montreal Alouettes and saw action in one pre-season before being released on June 2. He signed with Edmonton on June 11 and was activated for a Week 3 game in Toronto, registering two special-teams tackles. He played a total of 16 games for Edmonton and had 40 catches for 731 yards and five touchdowns, with his average of 18.3 yards per reception being the best in the CFL. In addition to his receiving totals, Jones had two carries for 13 yards and one touchdown, one kickoff return for 37 yards and eight special-teams tackles. In Week 13 at Calgary, Jones had five catches for 208 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a two-touchdown performance at Saskatchewan in Week 9. Jones’ season high in receptions was six and was accomplished on two occasions – in Week 10 against BC and in Week 19 at Calgary.

2023

(Saskatchewan) Jones played 17 games and made 14 starts for the Roughriders. He was third on the club in both receptions (65) and receiving yards (882) and was tied for third with three touchdown catches. Jones also made three special-teams tackles. He had a pair of 100-yard receiving games – against Winnipeg in Week 2 and at Toronto in Week 8. Jones had a season-best nine receptions in both of those contests.

2022

(Saskatchewan) In his first CFL action, Jones played 14 games for the Roughriders and made five starts. He made 20 catches for 265 yards and three touchdowns, returned three kickoffs for 49 yards and added three special-teams tackles and one fumble recovery. Jones started the season on practice roster and was activated for a Week 4 game against the Montreal Alouettes. He made three catches for 56 yards in his CFL debut. Jones’ first touchdown catch came in Week 7 against Toronto, a game that also featured his season high in catches (five) and receiving yards (67).

College

Jones played 51 games and made 27 starts over four seasons (2012-15) at Memphis. He had 90 career catches for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns for the Tigers. Jones also had 22 carries for 89 yards. He had 33 catches for 442 yards and three touchdowns as a junior in 2014 and 22 receptions for 316 yards and four scores as a senior in 2015.

Personal

Jones is an alumnus of Clear Creek High School in League City, Tex. In his senior season for the Wildcats, he made 34 catches for 610 yards and six touchdowns. Jones also competed in track and field at Clear Creek.
