2024

(Calgary) Stevens has played 15 games and has served as the Stampeders’ short-yardage quarterback. He has 52 carries for 209 yards and nine touchdowns. Stevens is also one for two in passing for 24 yards. He has been called upon in 28 third-and-short situations and has successfully converted on 27 of those assignments with 23 first downs and three touchdowns on 24 carries as well as a 24-yard pass completion to Marken Michel. Stevens had three rushing touchdowns in a Week 11 game against Ottawa and a 69-yard rushing major in Week 16 against Saskatchewan.

2023

(Calgary) For a second consecutive season, Stevens played all 18 regular-season games and served as the Stampeders’ short-yardage quarterback. He had 44 carries for 151 yards and a team-leading six rushing touchdowns. Stevens also completed four of nine passes for 17 yards. He had a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Labour Day Classic against the Edmonton Elks as part of a 15-point outburst in the final three minutes of the game to help the Stamps erase an 11-point deficit and claim a 35-31 victory. Stevens had a pair of rushing touchdowns in a Week 20 win at BC. He was in uniform for the Western Semi-Final and had one carry for two yards.

2022

(Calgary) Stevens dressed for all 18 regular-season games and was Calgary’s short-yardage specialist. He carried the ball 56 times for 297 yards and scored nine touchdowns. Four of the scores came in Week 14 in Edmonton. In Week 21 against Saskatchewan, he was recognized as one of the CFL’s top performers of the week after rushing for 163 yards including an 85-yard touchdown that was the league’s longest running play for the season. Stevens also threw his first CFL touchdown pass in that contest. His passing stats for the season included six completions on nine pass attempts for 41 yards and one touchdown. Stevens was in uniform for the Western Semi-Final and had three carries for six yards and one touchdown. He also had one incomplete pass.

Stevens played his senior season (2019) at Mississippi State, starting all nine games for the Bulldogs and completing 97 of 161 passes (a 60.2-per cent completion rate) for 1,155 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also had 83 carries for 381 yards and four scores. Stevens had two passing touchdowns and one rushing major against Louisville in the Music City Bowl. He transferred to Mississippi State after three seasons (2016-18) at Penn State. In 20 games for the Nittany Lions, he completed 24 of 41 passes for 304 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Stevens also had 76 carries for 506 yards and eight touchdowns along with 14 catches for 62 yards and two scores.

Personal

Stevens is a graduate of Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis. He played both quarterback and defensive back at Decatur and was a two-time all-conference selection. In 2014 he was named all-state at defensive back.
