Help share the warmth this winter!

The Stampeders have once again teamed up with The Salvation Army and Q107 for The Salvation Army Coat Drive, which aims to help provide warmth and comfort for the less fortunate in our community with new and gently used winter coats. This year’s Coat Drive will take place Friday, Nov. 3, when the Stampeders take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McMahon Stadium.

“I’m always willing to do what I can each year in support of this great cause,” said Brandon Smith, the team’s player representative for the Coat Drive. “But most importantly, it’s great to see how many coats Stamps fans generously donate to help Calgarians stay warm through the winters.”

Volunteers will be stationed at all stadium gates to collect men’s, women’s, and kids’ winter jackets, as well as cash donations. In addition to the support from our fans, the Stamps would also like to encourage local schools and businesses to get involved this year. As a result of everyone’s generosity last season, The Salvation Army collected 4,600 winters coats in 2016 and we’re looking forward to increasing that number once again this year!
