Stamps blood drive a success

RB Charlie Power donates blood in May 2016

Charlie Power, the Stamps’ recently announced player rep for Canadian Blood Services, was joined by three teammates on Tuesday afternoon for the team’s annual blood drive.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to be the Stampeders’ player representative for Canadian Blood Services,” said Power. “Donating blood is a gift that costs you nothing more than an hour of your time, but the consequence of too few donations carries a much higher price.

“I look forward to bringing awareness to the critical work that Canadian Blood Services does.”

Dan Federkeil, Simon Charbonneau-Campeau, Charlie Power and Rob Cote donate blood in May 2016.

Alongside teammates Rob Cote, Dan Federkeil and Simon Charbonneau-Campeau, the Stampeders continued their involvement with the Partners for Life Program by each giving a 500-mL donation.

During the season, player spouses, team staff and members of the Outriders cheer and dance team will also visit Canadian Blood Services to provide additional donations.

Stamps fans are encouraged to do their part to meet the program’s pledge on 50 units of blood donated on behalf of the Red and White.
