Calgary Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell has been honoured as one of the Canadian Football League’s three players of the week as a result of his performance in Saturday’s 48-23 win over the Ottawa RedBlacks.

This is the second player-of-the-week award for Mitchell, who was previously recognized in Week 6. He was also one of the CFL’s players of the month for August.

Mitchell’s most recent honour comes after a 353-yard, two-touchdown effort in leading the Stamps to a ninth consecutive victory, a result that allowed the Red and White to clinch a playoff spot.

It’s the 10th time in 12 games this season Mitchell has cracked the 300-yard mark in a game and he’s now just 64 yards shy of 4,000 for the season. The 26-year-old Katy, Tex., native leads the CFL with 22 touchdown passes.

This is the sixth time this season a Stamps player has received player-of-the-week recognition from the league.
