Receiver Marken Michel has been honoured as one of the Canadian Football League’s three players of the week for his play in Saturday’s victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Playing in just his third career game, Michel made six receptions for 190 yards and one touchdown to help the Stamps improve to 4-1-1 on the season. The yardage total was the highest by a Stamps receiver since Romby Bryant’s 211-yard game in 2009.

For the season, Michel has eight catches for 227 yards – for an average of 25.1 yards per reception – and two touchdowns.

This is the third time this season a Stamps player has received player-of-the-week recognition from the league.
