Allen, Olugbode added to practice roster

The Calgary Stampeders have added international offensive lineman Josh Allen and international linebacker Kenneth Olugbode to the practice roster.

Allen signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and appeared in three NFL games that season. Allen attended training camp with the Buccaneers in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers in 2016.

In college, Allen played 47 games over four seasons at Louisiana-Monroe and was named second-team all-Sun Belt Conference as a junior in 2012 after starting all 13 games at centre for the Warhawks. He made eight starts at centre as a freshman in 2010 and also made starts at left guard in 2011.

Olugbode signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 4 and played four pre-season games before being waived on Sept. 2.

Olugbode played 41 games including 36 starts over four seasons at the University of Colorado. He was presented with the Tom McMahon Award for dedication and work ethic by the Buffaloes coaching staff following a senior season in which he recorded 115 total tackles. For his career, Olugbode recorded 264 total tackles (178 solo and 86 assisted), 3.5 sacks, three interceptions, six fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and nine pass breakups.

In another transaction, international receiver Anthony Dable has been released from the practice roster.
