The Calgary Stampeders have released international quarterback Ricky Stanzi.
Stanzi dressed for 19 regular-season games and two post-season contests after signing with the Red and White in March of 2017. The 30-year-old University of Iowa alum saw action in two games, completing four of eight passes for 53 yards with two interceptions.
The Stamps return to action on Saturday when they travel to Toronto to face the Argonauts in a 5 p.m. MDT kickoff. Calgary’s next home contest is Thursday, June 28 at 7 p.m. when the Ottawa RedBlacks visit McMahon Stadium.
