2023
(Edmonton) Konar played all 18 games for the Elks and established a new career high with 73 tackles. He added one special-teams tackle and one knockdown. Konar opened the season with back-to-back eight-tackles performances against Saskatchewan in Week 1 and at BC in Week 2. He played his 100th career regular-season game in Week 20 against Montreal.
2022
(Edmonton) In his return to Edmonton, Konar started all 18 games at linebacker and finished third on the team with 69 defensive plays. His statline included 52 defensive tackles with three tackles for loss, five special-teams tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception and four knockdowns. Konar had a pair of big games against Saskatchewan – at home against the Roughriders in Week 2, he had seven tackles and a sack and in Regina in Week 15, he had five tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.
2021
(BC) Konar played all 14 regular-season games for the Lions and accumulated six defensive tackles, 13 special-teams tackles and one sack. He had four special-teams stops in a Week 13 contest at Toronto. Konar’s sack came in Week 14 at Hamilton.
2020
(BC) Konar was under contract with the Lions but the season was cancelled because of the global pandemic.
2019
(BC) In his first season with the Lions, his hometown team, Konar had six defensive tackles and eight special-teams stops. In his BC debut, he had four tackles – one on defence and three on special teams.
2018
(Edmonton) In 11 games including six starts at linebacker, Konar accumulated 21 defensive tackles, five special-teams tackles, one sack, on interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He had two tackles and a sack in Edmonton’s season-opener before missing the next seven games due to injury. Konar returned to the lineup in Week 10 against Montreal and made three special-teams tackles. He had a season-high five defensive tackles in Week 17 at Saskatchewan and an interception in Week 19 at BC.
2017
(Edmonton) Konar played 12 and made 12 starts at linebacker. He made 59 defensive tackles, four special-teams stops, one sack, two interceptions, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and five knockdowns. Konar recorded the first sack of his CFL career in the season-opener at BC and had his first CFL interception in Week 12 during the Labour Day rematch against Calgary. He had a season-high 10 tackles in addition to a fumble recovery during a Week 15 contest against Winnipeg. Konar was sidelined by injury from Week 5 to Week 10 before returning to the lineup for the Labour Day Classic in Calgary. In two playoff games, he had 12 tackles and a knockdown.
2016
(Edmonton) Konar appeared in six games and recorded three defensive tackles and one special-teams stop. The special-teams tackle was the first of his career and came against Calgary in the Labour Day Classic. Konar played two post-season games and had a forced fumble.
2015
(Edmonton) Konar played five games during his rookie season, making his professional debut in Week 1 at Toronto. He recorded his first career defensive tackle in Week 3 against Ottawa.

College/Junior
Konar played his final university season at Calgary in 2014 and earned Canada West and U Sports all-star honours after recording 49 tackles including 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one interception and three passes defended in nine games for the Dinos. He sat out the 2013 season because of a knee injury. Konar started his university career at UBC and was the Thunderbirds’ rookie of the year in 2011. He played for the Langley Rams of the Canadian Junior Football League in 2012 and was the British Columbia Football Conference’s outstanding defensive player of the year.
Personal
Konar is an alumnus of Vancouver College and was the championship game’s MVP in 2010 when the Fighting Irish won the B.C. provincial high school title. His father Kevin played 10 seasons with the BC Lions and was a two-time CFL all-star.
