Selected by Calgary in the fifth round (42nd overall) of the 2023 draft and signed on May 5, 2023. He returned to university for his final season and re-signed with Calgary on Oct. 16, 2023.

2024

(Calgary) Leder has played 13 games and has recorded three defensive tackles, two special-teams takedowns and one sack. He made his CFL debut in Week 1 against Hamilton and recorded a pair of special-teams tackles. In Week 6 at Winnipeg, Leder collected both his first defensive tackle and his first sack as he brought down the Blue Bombers’ Zach Collaros. In Week 13, he made the switch from defensive line to fullback.

2023

(Calgary) Leder attended training camp with the Stampeders and saw action in both pre-season contests, recording three defensive tackles and one special-teams stop. He then returned to McMaster for his final season of eligibility. Leder re-signed with Calgary upon the completion of his university season and spent the final four games on the Stamps’ practice roster.

College           

In 38 career games over five seasons (2018-19, 2021-23) at McMaster, Leder recorded 108 total tackles including 16 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, five forced fumbles, one blocked kick and three passes defended. In 2021, he earned an invitation to the U Sports East-West Bowl.

Personal

Leder is an alumnus of St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School in Hamilton, Ont. In his final season with the Knights, he was a part of a defence that allowed combined totals of just 787 yards and 52 points in 10 regular-season and playoff games.
