The Calgary Stampeders were again well represented at the Calgary Flames Ambassadors Poker Tournament, which was held on Saturday Deerfoot Inn and Casino.

With six Stampeders on hand, the event raised $350,000 and has raised more than $3.5 million over the past 10 years.

This year, the group donning the black Outlaw jersey on behalf of the Stamps included Grey Cup MVP Bo Levi Mitchell, Deron Mayo, Rene Paredes, Rob Cote, Charleston Hughes and Stamps offensive coordinator Dave Dickenson. Stampeder alumnus Jesse Lumsden also joined the boys.

The jersey-off-their-back theme continued for this year’s poker tournament. Hughes narrowly outlasted Mitchell as the last Stampeder standing.

Hughes was knocked out on a big hand by former Flames netminder Tyler Moss.

Other highlights included Hughes hosting Stamps TV as he interviewed/annoyed other celebrities at the event.

For those keeping track, Mayo was the first Stampeder knocked out and Cote and Paredes followed shortly after, not quite making it to the intermission portion of the event.
