The Stamps (9-6) have already clinched a West Division playoff spot for an eighth consecutive season.

Meanwhile, the Ticats (5-10) are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. Hamilton is led by veteran quarterback Henry Burris, the former Stampeder who is playing his first game in Calgary since his off-season trade to Steeltown.

In addition to the importance of the contest in the CFL playoff race, it’s also the Stampeders’ fifth annual PinkPower game in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and the battle against women’s cancers.

“It seems like it’s going to be a (notable) game with the colour pink and also with Henry Burris’ return to McMahon Stadium,” said head coach and general manager John Hufnagel. “I’m sure that there’ll be lots of excitement, not only because of the return of Henry but because of the importance of the football game to both football teams.”

The Stamps and Ticats previously met on Aug. 9 at Hamilton’s Ivor Wynne Stadium, with Calgary picking up a 31-20 victory.
