The Calgary Stampeders have added international defensive back Mario Butler to the practice roster.

Butler signed with the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and made his professional debut in 2012. He spent time with the Denver Broncos before signing with the Buffalo Bills in 2013.

Butler played 13 games and made one start for the Bills in 2015, recording nine total tackles and defending five passes.

In four seasons (2007-10) at Georgia Tech, Butler played in 51 games and made 39 starts. In his career with the Yellow Jackets, Butler made 136 tackles including 10 tackles for loss and also had 12 pass breakups and four interceptions.
