Calgary Stampeders vs Winnipeg Blue Bombers

The Stampeders wrap up the regular season on Friday with a home game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Kickoff at McMahon Stadium is 7:30 p.m. MDT and the game will be broadcast on TSN, News Talk 770, ESPN and Sirius XM 167.

The Stamps (13-3-1) have already clinched first place in the West Division and are assured of hosting the Western Final on Nov. 19. The Blue Bombers (11-6) are trying to secure second place and the right to play the Western Semi-Final in Winnipeg on Nov. 12.

This is the second meeting of the season between the Stamps and Bombers as Calgary was a 29-10 winner at Winnipeg’s Investors Group Field in Week 3.

The Stamps are trying to snap a two-game losing streak, with the most recent setback coming by a 29-20 score in Edmonton on Saturday.

The Bombers have also lost two in a row including a 36-27 defeat at home against the BC Lions on Saturday.

Calgary is 7-1 at home this season and 7-2 against the West Division. Winnipeg is 5-3 on the road and 5-4 against the West.

Fan Zone

Starting at 5 p.m., the Fan Zone will be in operation in the east parking lot across from the Ticket Office.

Attractions and activities include a live DJ, Stamps players Riley Jones and Reuben Frank and alumni Bruce Covernton autographs from 5:30 – 6:30, the Tailgate Grill food truck, the Tim Hortons Community Cruiser, interactive sponsor activations and activities for kids of all ages.

Jerseys Off Our Backs

Friday also marks the annual Jersey Off Our Backs event. Forty-four randomly selected fans will win a jersey worn by a Stamps player during a game this season. The lucky winners will be invited onto the field after the game to meet with a Stamps player and get their jersey signed.

Salvation Army coat drive, supported by Q107

A fall tradition at a designated home game for more than a decade, The Salvation Army Coat Drive takes place on Friday. New or gently used winter coats will be collected by The Salvation Army volunteers outside each stadium entrance. Another collection point will be set up beside the Fan Zone at the end of the LRT walkway. The coats will then be distributed to those in need of additional warmth throughout Calgary this winter.

An organization providing programs and social services in over 400 Canadian communities, The Salvation Army operates thrift stores, food banks and emergency and disaster services within their Alberta and Northern Territories Division.
