Stamps Sign Ka’deem Carey

The Calgary Stampeders have signed international running back Ka’Deem Carey.

Carey spent four weeks on the Stamps’ practice roster during the 2018 season but did not see any game action.

Carey was a fourth-round NFL draft pick in 2014 by the Chicago Bears and played in 37 games over three seasons. He made one start for the Bears and had 443 rushing yards and two touchdowns as well as 13 catches for 131 yards and one score.

Carey played three seasons at the University of Arizona. In 36 games for the Wildcats, he set school records with 4,239 rushing yards, 48 rushing touchdowns and 5,483 all-purpose yards. Carey was a two-time all-conference player, two-time all-American and was the Pac-12 offensive player of the year in 2013.

In his final two seasons at Canyon del Oro High School in Arizona, Carey rushed for 4,492 yards and 71 touchdowns.
