Stamps Sign Quarterback And Running Back

The Calgary Stampeders have signed international quarterback Troy Cook and international running back LaDarius Galloway.

Cook was a protected pick of the Alliance of American Football’s Memphis Express in November. He played three seasons at Tennessee-Martin and completed 271 of 479 passes for 3,434 yards with 32 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He also carried the ball 69 times for 97 yards and one score. As a junior in 2016, he played 12 games for the Skyhawks including 10 starts and threw for 2,321 yards and 22 touchdowns. He transferred to Tennessee-Martin after one season at Florida State. He did not see any game action for the Seminoles but served as the team’s primary scout team quarterback as Florida State won the 2013 national championship.

Galloway played 22 games over two seasons at Tennessee-Martin after transferring from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He had 308 carries for 1,420 yards for an average of 4.6 yards per attempt and also had nine rushing touchdowns for the Skyhawks. He added 50 catches for 555 yards and two scores. He was a second-team Ohio Valley Conference all-star in 2017. In two seasons at Copiah-Lincoln, he accumulated 1,503 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.
