The Calgary Stampeders have signed international receiver Griff Whalen, a veteran of 43 games in the National Football League.

Whalen signed with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts in 2012 and played a total of 33 games for the Colts from 2013-15. He also played for the San Diego Chargers in 2016 and the Baltimore Ravens in 2017. In 43 career NFL games, Whalen made 51 catches for 532 yards and three touchdowns.

In college, Whalen played 39 games over four seasons at Stanford. As a senior in 2011, he made 56 catches for 749 yards and four touchdowns. For his career with the Cardinal, Whalen had 80 receptions for 1,058 yards and five scores. He also completed one pass for 11 yards.
