Stamps Games For Students

So you’re ready to go to a Stampeders game and cheer on your Red & White – great! The only thing is, you have a student budget. No problem! We’ve compiled a list of tips to help students get the most from their experience.

Save Money on Tickets

There is an entire section at McMahon reserved for students to cheer on the Stamps together. If you’re a student currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, you can use promo code “COLLEGE” to save some $$$. Student tickets are only $15 + fees for non-premium games and $25 + fees for premium games, including the matchup against the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday, Oct. 11. Click here for tickets!

Transportation

Although tickets are necessary, everything else isn’t! The quickest and most cost-effective way to get to McMahon is by C-Train. Alternatively, you can carpool or split the cost of an Uber. If you’re staying on the U of C campus, McMahon is a short six-minute walk from the Haskayne Building!

Best Valued Food

If you do end up finding yourself hungry from all the cheering (trust us, it’s hard work), but are still being mindful of your budget, McMahon has some great options! Try the Taco in a bag ($8.75 + tax) or the Foot Long All Beef Hotdog ($9.00 + tax). Another great option is the loaded baked potato ($7.50 + tax). Choose from 12 toppings to top your tot – or go all-in and choose all 12. These options are bound to settle that rumbling tummy and refuel you for more cheering. If you’ve got the budget for a meal, check this out to get the best dish!

Gridiron Gardens

This is a great place to ‘tailgate.’

The Gridiron Gardens has everything a fan could ask for — enjoy some music, some food and drink, and the opportunity for autographs and some meet-and-greets with alumni.

And best of all — with a ticket for the game, admission to the Gardens is FREE!
