The Stampeders Foundation concluded the 2021 football season with more than $900,000 in support of minor and amateur football projects and the southern Alberta community.

The Stampeders Foundation is centred upon the support of amateur and grassroots football in Calgary and southern Alberta communities, while also supporting a number of health and education initiatives through player involvement and in-game programming. Thanks to the support of participants in the Calgary Stampeders 50/50 program presented by RE/MAX, these contributions include donations made to:

  • $100,000 for the Calgary Bantams Football Association
  • $72,000 for the Calgary Colts
  • $3,000 for the Harry Hood Awards
  • $600,000 for the Shouldice Athletic Park Seasonal Shelter project
  • $65,772 for the University of Calgary Dinos and athletic programs
  • $5,000 for the Support our Troops and Military Family Resource Centre
  • $5,000 for the Airdrie Food Bank in support of the Corey Mace Turkey Drive
  • $30,000 for the Stampeders Grow the Game and Development programs
  • $24,281 for Pink Power

The Stampeders Foundation is the charitable arm of the Calgary Stampeders Football Club, which is dedicated to creating a healthier and brighter community for Calgarians and Albertans. Established in 2013, the Foundation consolidates and strengthens the club’s many charitable endeavours, enabling the organization to build upon its long-standing commitment to the community.

This year, two new programs were introduced in the Stampeders Foundation-Grow the Game Fund, which promotes and supports the introduction of football to new participants, and the Stampeders Foundation Development Fund, which supports the health and future of amateur and grassroots football teams and associations in our community.

This season funds were distributed from the Grey Cup Legacy Project to the Shouldice Athletic Park Seasonal Shelter. The seasonal shelter will give sports groups a place to play year-round.

The Stampeders Foundation is fully committed to the support of amateur and grassroots football in Calgary and Southern Alberta communities. In addition to promoting access to all levels of football, the Stampeders Foundation is proud to support a number of health, wellness and education initiatives through player involvement and in-game programming. Since 2012, the Stampeders Foundation has donated more than $4 million to football projects in southern Alberta.
