O-lineman, Linebacker Selected In Global Draft

The Calgary Stampeders selected Swedish offensive lineman Isaac Moore and German linebacker Lino Schröter in Tuesday morning’s 2023 Canadian Football League global draft.

Moore – selected in the first round, sixth overall – was a five-year starter at left tackle for Temple University and set the Owls record with 57 consecutive games played.

The six-foot-seven, 300-lb. Moore played both offensive line and defensive line for Oreboro (Sweden) Black Knights before attending Temple.

Schröter – chosen in the second round, 15th overall – is a six-foot-two, 225-lb. linebacker who in 2022 played for the Cologne Crocodiles of the German Football League. He was the Crocodiles’ special teams player of the year and most improved defensive player in 2021 and made the German league all-star team in 2022 after recording 59 tackles including 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, six pass breakups and one forced fumble in 11 games.

Schröter played high-school football in the U.S. – at Herington High School in Kansas.
