2019

(Hamilton/BC) Echols-Luper attended training camp with Hamilton. He was signed by the Lions on Sept. 10 and spent one month on the club’s practice roster.

 

2018

(Hamilton) Echols-Luper signed with the Tiger-Cats on July 30 and spent six weeks on the practice roster before being released.

 

College           

Echols-Luper played his senior season (2017) at Western Kentucky. In 10 games for the Hilltoppers, he made 42 receptions for 473 yards and four touchdowns and also had 18 kickoff returns for 390 yards, two carries for six yards and one pass completion for 39 yards. In 2016, he played at Arkansas State and had 26 catches for 407 yards and one touchdown. Echols-Luper started his collegiate career with two seasons (2013-14) at Texas Christian. In 23 games for the Horned Frogs, he had 13 catches for 93 yards. Echols-Luper also competed in track at TCU, including the 200-meter race and 4×100 relay.

 

Personal

Echols-Luper competed in football as well as track and field at Auburn (Ala.) High School. He was a quarterback for the Tigers, throwing for 1,036 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushing for 898 yards and seven majors. In track and field, Echols-Luper won state titles in the 200-metre race, the long jump and the 4×100 relay in both his junior and senior seasons.
